In this video, Menno Boots of Borst Bloembollen, a specialist in tulips and peonies, explains how they, as flower growers, have linked their stock, and sales processes to Floriday. Immediately after processing, the tulips are registered in Floriday as stock, and everything is sold from this stock. This gives Borst Bloembollen total peace of mind and maximum efficiency at the nursery.
User-friendly for our people
In the past, everything needed for bunching tulips was written down in a notebook. Nowadays, this is increasingly done digitally within the tulip sector. With Floriday, this means that in addition to being entered digitally, it is also passed on digitally throughout the entire chain. Floriday is easy to explain to our colleagues. And our colleagues are making few errors when entering the stock. An added advantage is that when bunched, the correct length and weight are recorded.
'This efficiency boost thanks to Floriday has meant that I can now go home at 4 or 5 p.m.'
'The truth is in Floriday'
A buyer who does not buy through Floriday creates work for the grower. 'If we cannot enter the order request through Floriday, or complete the payment, we must adjust it all manually. That is not what we want.' We still communicate by phone. 'It has happened that my colleague made a telephone sale of ten buckets of a certain type, but there were only eight left in Floriday. This could then be passed straight on to the customer.'
'Could the order be cheaper?'
'No need to call for that, the price is already fixed,' says Menno. In Floriday, each customer is divided into price groups, and based on, say, turnover, you divide the customers into price groups.
The advantage for the buyer is that you are almost 100% sure of what you are getting, and you can also immediately release your supply to your customers. That saves a lot of work early in the morning. 'Our buyers can stay in bed a little longer because they already know what they are getting.'
Finally, we asked Menno: ‘How would you describe Floriday at this moment in time? If I had to describe Floriday in one sentence, I would say it takes the worry out of stock management, takes care of sales and ensures you get home on time.'
