Over the past quarter, Floriday has once again been expanded with new features and improvements. Significant improvements have been made, particularly for flower growers. At the same time, we are making Floriday increasingly user-friendly: providing a better overview, requiring fewer clicks, and enabling you to get your work done faster. Product Owner Bas La-Graauw walks us through the key developments and offers a look ahead.

Daily prices feature expanded for flower growers

The Daily Prices feature was introduced in May for flower growers who do not work with specific batches but instead use virtual inventory or determine their stock levels on a daily basis. Several new features have been added over the past quarter. Bas La-Graauw explains: “We have really matured the Daily prices feature. Our main focus was on making things easier for users: providing a better overview, requiring fewer clicks, and reducing the administrative workload.”

For instance, growers can now use customizable tiered pricing. This allows a grower to offer a more attractive price when a buyer orders a larger quantity. This can result in a better deal for the buyer, while the grower benefits from fewer manual steps and lower transaction costs. “This was a feature frequently requested on our roadmap and one that received strong support from users,” says Bas.

In addition, you can easily adopt the average clock price as a base price in your supply list, distribute your stock across different buyer groups, upload an Excel file to populate your list, and navigate more easily using the keyboard. The Supply overview has also been improved, making it easier to check exactly which products are currently listed online.

Filtering the supply

New filters for supply are now available for cut flower growers. These allow you to more precisely determine which products a customer sees, for example, based on packaging codes or product groups. In the coming quarter, these filters will also be added to 'Batch prices' and made available via the API connections. Would you like to use this feature? Expanded filtering options for VMP connections

Filtering options within VMP connections have also been expanded. Filters have been added for buyers within these connections, addressing a desire expressed by both growers and buyers to have greater control over the supply available via VMP connections. Furthermore, this enhancement makes it easier to migrate existing direct VMP connections to Floriday. The group of leading flower growers aims to lead the way in this regard, with the goal of migrating the VMP connections of the largest buyers to Floriday before December 1st.

More options with Customer offers

New features have been added to the Offers functionality. You can now use custom-defined tiered pricing and include an additional service (like stickers) directly in an offer, ensuring the buyer receives a more comprehensive proposal. Additionally, a feature has been developed for cut-flower growers to publish supply for the period following the weekend based on expected stock levels. Once the actual stock becomes available, you simply link the specific batch to the orders, allowing the product to be sold over the weekend.

Further rollout of Dynamic prices

Dynamic prices was further expanded last quarter. For Clock presale listings, you can set dynamic prices based on a base price, along with upper and lower price limits. The price fluctuates in response to market supply and demand, eliminating the need for you to constantly adjust prices manually. Dynamic pricing is being rolled out gradually across various product groups and was also added to Daytrade last quarter in combination with Clock presale.

Increasing possibilities for sales organizations

We are gradually making more features within Floriday suitable for sales organizations. For instance, a sales organization can use a VMP connection to make the supply of underlying growers available. Additionally, large shops featuring 'master collections' can now be organized more clearly. Bas La-Graauw notes: “We see that sales organizations' shops can become quite large, so we have introduced more structure.”

In the coming quarter, we will be working on, among other things, enabling sales organizations to compile a single customer offer containing trade items from various underlying growers. We also aim to provide greater insight into shop statistics, including the conversion rate (the percentage of shop visitors who actually place an order).

Looking ahead: working smarter and more easily

Speed, clarity, and ease of use will remain key themes in the coming quarter. For instance, we are simplifying the processing of deliveries and aiming to enable the printing of multiple delivery notes in a single print job. Useful features from 'Daily prices' are also being applied to 'Batch prices'. Additionally, Packing configurations management is becoming easier: soon, you will be able to manage packing configurations centrally and link them to various products.

For buyers, we are continuing to develop Track & Trace capabilities. Beyond providing insight into deliveries and scans, we want to help users more easily identify which deliveries require attention, for example, through alerts or notifications regarding discrepancies.

We are also working on ways to reduce manual tasks for buyers. With automatic selection features, a buyer can, for example, configure settings so that all products from a specific grower are automatically selected for their own webshop or software package. If the grower adds a new product, it is automatically included. Selections can also be based on criteria such as specific packaging.

Furthermore, we are exploring the potential of AI within Floriday. The initial technical groundwork for this was laid last quarter. We are investigating how AI can help our users work smarter and derive greater insights from their data in the future.

We are also working on associative search functionality. This allows users to find relevant products without a search query having to match an item name exactly. We intend to implement this search method in tools such as Explorer and MyShop for end customers.
